Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) is a 4-years and 8 semesters program and this program is under Tribhuvan University (TU) under the Institute of Medicine (IOM). This course was introduced in 2000 AD by Tribhuvan University. It is a Biomedical course and related to health sciences. Pharmacy is one of the main disciplines under biomedical science and the pharmaceutical industry.

This course deals with knowledge of the drug and does development on a new drug. The main objectives of this course are to produce highly qualified pharmacists who can provide the services. Kathmandu University (KU):

To be eligible for the Bachelor of Pharmacy program the following criteria should be matched to study at Kathmandu University:

10+2 (or equivalent) examinations with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB). Or Minimum 2.4 GPA in aggregate and minimum C+ in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB), and minimum C in other subjects.

The entry to the program is Certificate Pharmacy from IOM or other recognized University, I.Sc. Or 10+2 (Biological Group) or equivalent degree recognized by TU. Candidates securing 50% marks in aggregate in I.Sc. Or 10+2 or equivalent or Certificate in Pharmacy is eligible to apply.

The entry requirement for a new student into B. Pharm will be Intermediate in Science (I. Sc.), Higher Secondary Level (10 + 2, Science Stream), or Proficiency Certificate Level (PCL, Science) with more than 50% marks or the equivalent as recognized by Pokhara University.
